We are delighted to announce that the Anderton Centre – Lancashire Outdoor Activities Initiative has been awarded ‘Best Outdoor Learning & Activities Facility – North West’ at the SME News 2020 Northern Enterprise Awards.
SME News is a quarterly digital publication aimed at those who run or help to run small and medium-sized businesses in the UK.
Their annual awards celebrate the success stories from the sector and single out the true market leaders over the past year. It also celebrates the industriousness and the dedication of the businesses and enterprises, rewarding the hardworking individuals and firms hailing from the region for their innovation and excellence in their business practice as well as their outstanding overall performance.
We reopened our doors in the summer to offer a wide range of water and land-based activities for young people and families who had faced restrictions during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Our activities range from sailing and paddle boarding to archery, high ropes and bushcraft as well as numerous indoor team building activities.
David Germain, Head of Centre – Executive Manager, commented: “During what has been an incredibly challenging year, we are excited and humbled to receive this award. The team has worked so hard to provide a valuable service to young people and the community. Being outside and taking part in outdoor learning helps to combat the negative effects of lockdown and the restrictions we are currently living with due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Our success will feature in a 2020 SME News celebratory publication.
