Secondary Day Visits & Residential Trips

Sample Activity Programmes

Our programmes are tailor made. We combine land and water activities, and our highly professional staff will include the most relevant activities to suit your needs, abilities and objectives. If you are unsure of which activities would suit you best, let us guide you.

For longer stays, we utilise the beautiful surroundings of Lever Park and Rivington Pike where you can experience hill walking in ‘Lancashire’s mini Lake District’.

Instructors are available to support groups on evening activities if you wish to extend your day. Bushcraft campfires or night walks are particularly popular for groups. What better way to finish your day than with hot chocolate and marshmallows around the campfire whilst you look back on your favourite parts of the day

Exciting Residential Trips

Since 2009, we have provided high quality residential experiences on the shores of Lower Rivington Reservoir in Central Lancashire.  Our private, peaceful woodland setting provides young people with the space to focus on revision, GCSE PE practicals and personal development.

Time away is a great investment in relationships between students, their peers, teaching and learning staff.  Customer feedback has proven long-term classroom benefits of High School residential trips.  If you feel a visit to our charity-run Outdoor Learning Centre would help your students or colleagues learn more, work better together or relax after a hard year of studying, please get in touch for a quotation and to check availability.

GCSE PE Practical  Residential Trip Weekends

Our outdoor activities count as part of the practical sessions in GCSE PE. Our highly experienced and qualified instructors specialise in getting the best from students optimising the practical element of GCSE PE.

Inclusion is vital to the well-being and learning progression of students. We offer an alternative to those who are not members of rugby clubs or football teams.

Sailing, Paddle Sports and climbing are all recognised sports for AQA, OCR, and Edexcel Awarding Bodies.
