Following the prime ministers announcement on Monday the 22nd of February we are pleased that we can finally begin plans for a full re-opening.
We shall obviously follow any updated national guidance but from the 8th March we will be offering our Outreach Service into schools including our mobile climbing wall. We shall continue to offer activities for Special Education Needs, Venerable Young People and disability sport.
We are excited from 29th March to restart our pay and play sessions, school holiday Adventure Clubs for groups 6, as well as private sessions and planned return to recognised training.
From 12th April there should be a return to school day visits, with COVID mitigating procedures in place. In addition as things stand we are planning to be able to offer self-contained accommodation for same family members in our self-catering accommodation block.
From the 17th of May we are planning for and understand that all group residentials will be able to resume as long as they follow the relevant compliance guidance. Depending on whether they are an educational bubble, an organised group or celebrating a significant life event.
From the 21st of June we understand that all social limits will be removed and that as a society we can all progress as normal, with good common sense.
We are aware that there is a Department for Education review specifically of school residential trips, mid-March and they will consider if they can allow school residentials after Easter so from the 12th of April
All of these dates are subject to the governments four criteria being met ;
1.The vaccine deployment programme continues successfully.
2.Evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths in those vaccinated.
3.Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS.
4.Our assessment of the risks is not fundamentally changed by new Variants of Concern.
We shall monitor official guidance and keep you informed of any changes and the potential impact upon your booking. If you are concerned about your existing booking please don’t hesitate to contact us and we can look to defer it to a more suitable date.
In the meantime, please keep safe and we look forward to welcoming you in the very near future.
