The Anderton Centre’s Pay & Play sessions are back for 2023 – Launching Easter Weekend

Every fancied hiring a Kayak or Stand Up Paddle-Board for a paddle on our beautiful reservoir? You may also be looking for somewhere to use your own SUP or Sit-On Kayak. (We don’t allow inflatables excluding SUP’s or Closed Cockpit Kayaks or Open Canoes).

Our Pay and Play sessions are a fantastic way to improve your health and well-being.

Activities such as Kayaking, and Paddle-Boarding require you to use your upper body and core muscles to propel yourself through the water. This helps to build strength and endurance, as well as burn calories and improve cardiovascular fitness.

Our Pay and Play sessions can help to reduce stress and improve mental well-being. Being in and around water has been shown to have a calming effect on the mind and body, helping to reduce stress and anxiety. The sound of water can also have a relaxing effect, which is why many people use recordings of ocean waves or rain to help them sleep or relax.

Finally, our Pay and Play sessions can be a great way to connect with nature and enjoy the outdoors. Spending time in natural environments has been shown to have numerous benefits for mental and physical health, including reduced stress levels, improved mood, and increased energy levels.

These 1-hour sessions are great value and are discounted to £15pp, which includes all safety equipment.

Our pay & play sessions are supervised rentals, no formal instruction is given. Participants will be limited to an area of the reservoir, depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

The centre’s experienced instructors will be on hand to guide visitors through each activity, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable time.
