We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Targeted Active Lifestyle Learning Awards (T.A.L.L.) category at the Chorley Sports Awards. The awards are for people who have achieved or excelled in sport and clubs that have gone that extra mile for their members.
The T.A.L.L. programme is aimed at a small number of Year Nine students who are given opportunities to take part in activities such as rock climbing, swimming, trampolining and much more as well as helping at local primary schools.
Many students undertake their programme of activity at The Anderton Centre.
The project, in conjunction with Chorley School Sport Partnership, is designed to encourage team building and leadership activities in various schools in the Chorley area, along with teaching the children how to respectfully conduct themselves in the community.
Each child taking part in the programme has grown tremendously in confidence and developed new skills and made new friendships.
David Germain, Head of Centre at the Anderton Centre will be presenting the award at the ceremony which takes place at Chorley Town Hall on Friday 19thJuly.
David commented, “We’re thrilled to be associated with this award and the Chorley School Sport Partnership in general. It reflects our ethos of making the centre accessible to all and helping young people grow and thrive.”
