Our residential trips are suitable for all ages including Years 3, 4, 5, and 6’s. We accommodate anything from one night to two week stays or longer depending on your needs and expectations. The Centre is popular for senior student residential study weekends.

Sample Activity Programmes

Our programmes are tailor made. We combine land and water activities, and our highly professional staff will include the most relevant activities to suit your needs, abilities and objectives. If you are unsure of which activities would suit you best, let us guide you.

For longer stays, we utilise the beautiful surroundings of Lever Park and Rivington Pike where you can experience hill walking in ‘Lancashire’s mini Lake District’.

Instructors are available to support groups on evening activities if you wish to extend your day. Bushcraft campfires or night walks are particularly popular for groups. What better way to finish your day than with hot chocolate and marshmallows around the campfire whilst you look back on your favourite parts of the day.

See our 3 day, 2 night Residential Programme for Primary Schools here.

We are a flexible independent charity-run centre, so can accommodate any specific themes or subjects being explored in school (eg, The Stone Age, The Vikings, The Romans, or foundation subjects such as History, Geography, Art, Design Technology and Music). If would like your residential stay to fit with your school’s themes, just ask!
