Youth Groups

Supporting youth groups, sports teams and scouts/guides is a focal point of our charity’s mission of engaging young people in enjoying and appreciating the benefits of the great outdoors.

We have regular special offers for youth groups on weekends and school holidays.  To hear about them first, either check back here, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

We offer fully catered residential group offers, combining our land and water activities with lovely home-made food from the catering team.

Or if you prefer to include life-skills and cooking as part of the experience away from home, then our self-catering Rivington Block is ideal for a group of up to 18, with fully fitted kitchen and lounge.
Contact us for availability and prices, or watch the fabulous water day video (thanks to West Lancs Scouts) for inspiration!

Residential accommodation for Overseas visitors

School exchange visits, work-experience with English language practise and youth football / rugby team residentials.  Self-catering for up to 18 or fully-catered for 70 maximum.  Long-term stays possible with advance booking.

Paderborn High School (NW Germany) have stayed with us for 2-3 weeks every March since 2005.  20-30 sixth form students have work-experience placements and we are delighted to accept a Paderborn work experience student every year to work with us in the Centre.

Every year I bring a group of sixth form students to Bolton to take part in work experience. Since 2005 we have stayed at the Anderton Centre on a self-catering basis and we found the staff extremely approachable and helpful. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. I would recommend the Anderton Centre to any other group.
