**ANDERTON CENTRE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES INTERNSHIP 2022**
OBJECTIVE: At The Anderton Centre, we have decided to run a 12-week Internship, beginning on the 24th January and finishing on the 14th April 2022. During the internship, the candidates will be trained on the relevant skills to deliver high quality outdoor educational activities to a range of clientele. Candidates will also gain a number of National Governing Body qualifications valued at £2,000, such as a 16-hour outdoor First Aid, DBS, British Canoeing Foundation Safety and Rescue Training, British Canoeing Paddle Sport Instructor, RYA Level 2 Power Boat Certificate and a Basic Bush craft course. Interns will also receive a £250 kit allowance when they successfully complete the training.
This is the perfect opportunity for those with little or no experience working in the outdoors. Successful candidates will be offered a summer contract that could lead into full time employment after the 12 weeks.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: To apply for this internship, you must have the following skills and abilities: –
• A passion and genuine interest in outdoor activities
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Able to commit to a 12-week programme (four days per week)
• A good work ethic and willingness to learn and get involved
• Comfortable standing in front of a group
• Very good at time keeping
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions
• A good level of fitness
• You MUST be age 18+ to apply
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: You will be expected to have some knowledge on the below points-
• An understanding of suitable outdoor clothing and footwear
• A good understanding of personal admin

INTERVIEW: Candidates who are successful with the application process will be invited in for a non-formal interview on Tuesday 4th January 2022 the interviews will be mostly practical, as you will be expected to partake in some of our activities on and off site. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask us any questions and have a detailed look at what the internship will include.
