Lancashire Outdoor Activities Initiative – Anderton Centre

COVID-Secure Policy and Procedures Statement

LOAI remains fully committed to safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of our colleagues, guests, visitors and people within the communities in which we work. We are aware of, and will continue to comply with, Public Health England (PHE), the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Department for Education (D f E) COVID Guidance.

As of 19th July, most restrictions relating to Coronavirus in England will be eased. In particular, restrictions on the number of people gathering, the requirements for social distancing and the use of masks within certain settings will be eased.

The very positive implications for LOAI – Anderton Centre, includes the lifting of caps on the number of people onsite, as well as the opportunity for multiple groups to stay overnight.

Whilst this is fantastic news, LOAI – Anderton Centre understands that the pandemic is far from over and believes it is important that we still retain some of the safeguarding measures that have been put in to place over the last 18 months. Promoting good hygiene, increased frequency of cleaning and ensuring all indoor areas are well ventilated, will remain in place. Face coverings in certain contexts will also be encouraged and the continuation of regular workplace testing.

We very much appreciate that our customers may have differing views on current level of risk and the recent easing of restrictions. We are happy to work with groups to put in additional measures where required.
